Blord Remanded in Kuje Prison Over Alleged Impersonation of VeryDarkMan
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the remand of celebrity cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, in Kuje Correctional Centre over alleged impersonation of social media commentator, VeryDarkMan.
Blord was arraigned on Thursday, April 1, 2026, on multiple charges bordering on impersonation and forgery. The court subsequently directed that he be held in custody for 26 days pending further proceedings.
According to the allegations, VeryDarkMan accused the defendant of forging flight tickets in his name and falsely claiming that he received N500 million as payment for a brand ambassadorial deal. He further alleged that Blord printed and circulated billboards and promotional fliers bearing his image without authorization.
The prosecution argued that the actions constituted a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and commercially exploit the complainant’s identity, raising broader concerns about digital impersonation and reputational harm.
Following his arraignment, Blord was escorted from the courtroom to the Kuje Correctional Centre amid heightened public attention, with a video of the transfer circulating widely on social media.
With the court ordering a 26-day remand, the entrepreneur is expected to remain in custody through the Easter period as the case progresses.
Legal analysts say the development underscores the growing scrutiny of identity-related offences in Nigeria’s digital and commercial landscape, particularly as influencers and online personalities increasingly become targets of unauthorized commercial use.
