Davidson Ogbebor

Hon. Osaro Osa Eribo has formally assumed office as the Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, following his swearing-in, which marked the beginning of a new administration at the grassroots level.

The ceremony brought together political leaders, government officials, community stakeholders, supporters and residents, who welcomed the commencement of the new administration with renewed expectations for improved governance and development across the local government.

Eribo’s assumption of office marks a transition to a fully constituted administration with a mandate to address the needs and aspirations of residents of Egor.

Among the key expectations of the people are improved environmental sanitation, enhanced security, better road infrastructure, improved educational facilities, youth empowerment and greater attention to community development.

The new chairman is expected to implement his administration’s Egor First Agenda, which is focused on placing the interests and welfare of residents at the centre of local government administration.

Stakeholders have also urged the new administration to ensure transparency, accountability and inclusive governance while strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions, community leaders, civil society organisations and other stakeholders in the development of the local government.

The swearing-in therefore represents not only a change in leadership but also an opportunity for the new administration to translate its promises into tangible projects and programmes that will directly improve the lives of residents.

With the commencement of the Eribo administration, attention is now expected to shift to the implementation of its development agenda and its capacity to deliver on the expectations that accompanied its assumption of office.
