The Labour Party LP, in Edo State has issued a Certificate of Return to Paul Okojie, declaring him their party’s candidate ahead of the August By-election of Edo Central Senatorial District.

The Certificate of Return serves as official recognition of Paul Okojie’s victory, empowering him to represent the district in the vacated Senatorial seat.

With the certificate, Okojie can now officially take his campaign to his constituents where he has vowed to flaw candidates of other political parties who are also vying for the Senate seat in legislative activities of the district.

Paul Okojie’s nomination as the candidate of the Labour Party, is in accordance with the electoral laws and guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, ending all speculation about parallel interest within the party.

Okojie’s victory is a litmus test to opposition candidates which is seen by political enthusiasts as an ensured representation for the Edo Central Senatorial District in the Senate, potentially impacting the district’s development and interests.

Speaking shortly after receiving his certificate of return, Paul Okojie expressed confidence of his victory at the poll come August 16, 2025 billed for the by-election in the state.

Recall that Paul Okojie, an entrepreneur and media consultant in one of his remarks said he will contribute his quota to shaping laws and policies that will positively affect his constituents and by extension the nation.

Governor Monday Okpebholo vacated the seat at the red chambers when he won his nomination as the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and later declared winner by INEC after polling more votes than his closest opponents, Dr. Asue Ighodalo of the PDP.

Since paul Okojie, steps into the political stage, hopes have risen for youths participation.
