Trump Criticized Macron While Departing Canada

The French President, Emmanuel Macron was publicly criticized by US President, Donald Trump while departing Canada late Monday, asserting that Macron mistakenly indicated he was returning to Washington to negotiate a “ceasefire.”

The US President Donald Trump criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for inaccurately claiming that he left the G7 Summit in Canada to return to Washington, D.C., to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. Trump refuted this assertion in a post on Truth Social, stating, “Wrong!”

The individual expressed that his visit to Washington is unrelated to a Cease Fire and involves
a matter of greater significance. He criticized Emmanuel for his frequent misunderstandings, implying that further developments should be anticipated.

Macron stated previously that Trump proposed a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

French President Macron told reporters that an offer has been made for a ceasefire and also, broader discussions being introduced during the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Canada.

President Macron expressed France’s support for a potential ceasefire in the United States,
highlighting its significance while speaking in French.
