Okpebholo Hails Oshiomhole at 74
Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has paid glowing tribute to former governor and senator, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, as he marked his 74th birthday, describing him as a leader whose legacy continues to shape governance and inspire generations.
In a goodwill message issued on Saturday, Okpebholo, on behalf of the government and people of Edo State, celebrated Oshiomhole’s life of service and his contributions to national development.
The governor recalled Oshiomhole’s journey from his days as a labour leader to his tenure as governor of Edo State, noting that he demonstrated courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
He stated that Oshiomhole’s administration laid a solid foundation for reform-driven governance and helped restore public confidence in leadership.
Okpebholo also highlighted Oshiomhole’s impact beyond Edo State, particularly during his tenure as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, where he promoted unity, discipline, and progressive ideals within the party.
The governor further commended his continued service as senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, noting that his contributions in the National Assembly remain significant and a source of pride to the people of the state.
He prayed for good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service for the elder statesman.
“As you mark this milestone, we celebrate your achievements and the values you embody. Your guidance and mentorship remain invaluable,” the governor said.
