BENIN CITY — Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, has held an interactive session with All Progressives Congress (APC) unit coordinators in Egor Local Government Area as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The meeting, hosted by the Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Osaro Osa Eribo, provided an opportunity for the governor to engage party members at the unit level and discuss strategies for mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Okpebholo was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; Edo APC Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe; the party’s State Secretary, Engr. Lawrence Oka, and other members of the state APC working committee.

Receiving the governor and his entourage, the APC Chairman in Egor Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, Okaon’reguae to Ehor, Ologbo and Okhuoromi Dukedoms, pledged the commitment of the party structure in the local government to the mobilisation exercise.

Iyase said the party’s various units were prepared to take the APC’s message to residents and canvass support for the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 polls.

He described Egor as an APC stronghold and assured the governor that the unit coordinators would remain active in grassroots engagement, voter contact and mobilisation as the election approaches.

The governor’s interaction with the unit coordinators also highlighted the importance of strengthening communication between the party leadership and its grassroots structures.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the Egor APC leadership to working with the state party structure to deepen grassroots mobilisation and take the party’s campaign message to communities across the local government ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
