BENIN CITY — The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, has expressed condolences to two of its members, Mr. Timothy Omobude and Mrs. Joyce Odiase Alohan, over the deaths of their respective fathers.

Omobude is the Special Adviser to the President of the NUJ, Mr. Yahya Alhassan, and Secretary of the Federated Chapel of the NUJ, Edo State Council, while Alohan is the Chief Executive Officer of JoyStar Television and an executive member of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter.

In a condolence message, the Edo State Council said it received the news of the deaths with sadness and shared in the grief of the bereaved families.

The Council acknowledged the pain associated with the loss of a parent and urged Omobude and Alohan, as well as their families, to draw strength from the memories, values and legacies left behind by their departed fathers.

The NUJ Edo Council prayed to God to grant the families the fortitude to bear the losses and grant the deceased eternal rest.

The condolence message was signed by the Secretary of the NUJ, Edo State Council, Mr. Andy Egbon.
