The Edo State Police Command has paraded a 50-year-old man, Nicholas Nusa, for an alleged abduction and sexual abuse of five female children.

According to the Police, the suspect abducted the children from the Ibillo-Imoga axis of the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.

A preliminary investigation revealed a shocking discovery where one of the minors was impregnated by the suspect and lost her baby after undergoing surgery.

The Police say the five children have now been rescued and reunited with their families, while the suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.

Confessing to the crime, the suspect Nicholas Nusa, admitted to housing the 4 victims in one room apartment where he had sexual intercourse with one of the victims.

When asked about his occupation, he said he was a carpenter and a Preacher, with Serebum and Seraphim Church.

He said one of the victims, was indebted to unknow person, when she came to seek refuge.

He said, he was married with four kids despite having a flint twice with the underage girl that got her pregnant.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, has vowed that the Command will not spare anyone involved in sexual violence against children.

In another crime bursting successes recorded, the State Police Command also paraded ten suspects arrested for violent crimes, neutralized one suspected kidnapper and recovered arms and stolen vehicles in its intelligence-led operations within the past week.

Addressing newsmen in Benin City on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, the Police Public Relations Officer said operatives recovered one AK-47 rifle, a Beretta pistol and twenty-four rounds of live ammunition.

The commissioner also paraded a suspected kidnapper, Sunday Irabor arrested on September 8th, 2026, by the operatives at a hotel near Oluku Market, where they recovered phones, a tablet and cash in Naira and Dollars.

Similarly, on the recovery of stolen vehicles, the Command paraded one Isiaka Suleiman from Warri, Delta State, for stealing his employer’s Toyota Camry, with registration number BEN 572 BT.

Also, a 21-year-old, Ahmed Musa Abubakar, was arrested while attempting to sell a stolen Toyota Corolla belonging to a Lagos company in Port Harcourt.

In arms recovery, the Police while parading a 28-year-old Collins Aligwekwe at Ovbiogie Community, disclosed that the operatives raided the house of the suspect, where a Beretta pistol hidden inside a bag of rice was recovered.

In another operation on September 15th, Police in collaboration with the Edo State Security Corps and local hunters neutralized a suspected kidnapper along a farm road after a gun duel and recovered an AK-47 rifle.

The Command also arrested a 32-year-old military impersonator, Mohammed Manfred Abdulramah, along the Auchi-Okene Expressway dressed in military camouflage.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, has assured residents of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, urging the public to provide credible information to the Police.
