Okpebholo Inspects Road, Residents Rejoice

Residents of Charismatic Church Road, off Ekenhuan Road in Benin City, erupted in jubilation as Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the road.

The 1.4-kilometre project, being executed by Place of Peace Investment Limited, has rekindled hope among residents and business owners who had endured years of difficulty due to the deplorable state of the road.

The governor’s visit drew a large crowd of enthusiastic residents, who cheered and expressed appreciation for what they described as a long-overdue intervention.

A resident, Blessing Patrick, recounted the hardship caused by the road’s previous condition, noting that it had remained impassable for years. She commended the governor for initiating the project and restoring accessibility to the area.

Similarly, Osarunwense Igbinovia, a trader at a nearby junction, highlighted the dangers previously associated with the road, including severe erosion and criminal activities. She noted that the ongoing construction has already brought noticeable improvement and renewed a sense of safety within the community.

The reconstruction of Charismatic Church Road is expected to enhance mobility, stimulate local economic activities, and improve security in the area, providing long-awaited relief to residents.

The press release was made available to journalists by Dr. Patrick Akhere Ebojele, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Edo State.
