Gov Okpebholo Leads Dignitaries to Thanksgiving Service for Edo Deputy Governor’s Late Mother
Monday Okpebholo on Sunday led top government officials, political leaders and other dignitaries to a special thanksgiving service held in honour of late Mrs. Esther Idahosa, mother of the Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa.
The thanksgiving service, held at Living Faith Church on Sapele Road, Benin City, attracted prominent personalities from across Edo State who gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the deceased matriarch, who died at the age of 95.
Governor Okpebholo’s attendance underscored the solidarity and support of the Edo State Government with the Idahosa family during the period of remembrance and thanksgiving. Among dignitaries present were former Edo State Governor, Lucky Igbinedion; former Deputy Governor, Lucky Imasuen; Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Sylvester Aigboboh; members of the Edo State House of Assembly, commissioners, political associates, family members and well-wishers.
Delivering the sermon, Pastor Emmanuel Ebiwoye preached from Mark 4:11, urging Christians to remain steadfast in faith and maintain total reliance on God in all circumstances. Special prayers were also offered for the Idahosa family, the Edo State Government, and the peace and progress of Edo State.
The thanksgiving service formed part of activities marking the final remembrance for late Mrs. Esther Idahosa, who was described by family members and associates as a devoted mother and virtuous woman whose life positively impacted many people.
