Okpebholo Condoles Deputy Over Mother’s Death at 95

Benin City-The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has commiserated with his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, who passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 95.

In a statement, the governor described her death as a profound loss, noting that the passing of a mother, regardless of age, creates an irreplaceable void in the lives of her loved ones.

He paid tribute to the deceased’s life of dedication, love, and sacrifice, stating that her legacy would continue to inspire family members and all who came in contact with her.

The governor also prayed for divine strength, courage, and fortitude for the deputy governor and the entire Idahosa family to bear the loss, while asking God to grant the departed eternal rest.

Okpebholo further assured that the thoughts and prayers of the Edo State Government and its people are with the bereaved family during this period of mourning.

The statement was signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Patrick Akhere Ebojele.
