As part of the activities marking the first year anniversary commemoration of Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation (DOEF), Uselu residents in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State has benefited from a free medical outreach programme sponsored by the foundation to reach the ordinary people.
The medical outreach which was held in Uselu Market in Benin City yesterday witnessed a large turn out of Women and children who were taking their turn to undergo medical screening assisted by medical personnels.

On hand to attend to the people were medical consultants, doctors and nurses led by Dr. Adego Eferakeya, a specialist Family Physician and Team Lead of the Medical Outreach Mission of the Foundation programme.
Talking to the press on the heels of programme, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the Director General (DG) of the foundation, averred: “This is a medical mission aimed at giving back to people in terms of giving free medical service to indigent people.

“In Nigeria we have about 133 million multidimensional poor people. Most of these people cannot afford to have access to quality healthcare. The access gap is still very wide. That means a lot of effort still need to be made.
“As a foundation we thought this was an area that needed our intervention. To make our own contribution to bridge the access gap by providing free medical services to our people especially the indigent ones; who have no means to even procure health care services. A lot of people are just dying at home unable to access care,” the former President of the World Medical Association (WMA) stressed
He affirmed that the Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation is not about education alone but all aspects of life endeavors.
“More importantly we advocate for good health. If you don’t have good health you cannot do anything,” he posited.
He appealed to partners and others to join the foundation in bringing relief to the people.
