OKPEBHOLO APPROVES NEW APPOINTMENTS, NAMES OROBOSA OMO-OJO GENERAL MANAGER, BENDEL NEWSPAPER CORPORATION

Benin City— The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of several new aides and heads of government agencies as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery in the state.

In a government statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., the appointments take immediate effect from October 27, 2025.

According to the statement, Hon. Orobosa Omo-Ojo, JP, has been appointed General Manager, Bendel Newspaper Corporation, while Hon. John Osagie Inegbedion becomes the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tax Reforms.

Also appointed are Johnson Jibril Adamu as Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and Shuaibu Elamah as Special Adviser on Law Reforms.

Others include Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Imafidor, Special Adviser on Livestock, Aquaculture and Agro-Processing; Omorede O. E. Osifo, Special Adviser on Women Mobilization; Esther O. Eghaghe, Special Adviser on Women Mobilization (Edo Central); Vera Omonkhafe Sadoh, Special Adviser on Women Mobilization (Edo North); and Mrs. Itohan Osahon, Special Adviser on Women Mobilization (Edo South).

In addition, Anslem Adima was named Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The statement noted that the appointments are aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the administration and promoting inclusive governance across all sectors and senatorial districts of the state.

Ikhilor, in the announcement, congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their duties with dedication, integrity, and commitment to the progress of Edo State.
