Egor Council Chairman Congratulates Chief Emmanuel Iyase on Royal Installation as Okaon’reguae of Okhoromi Community
The Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Osaro Osa Eribo, has congratulated Chief Emmanuel Iyase, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egor Local Government Area, on his recent installation as the Okaon’reguae of Okhoromi Community by the revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin Kingdom.
In a statement issued from his office in Uselu, Hon. Eribo described Chief Iyase — who is also the Ihaza N’Udo and Okao Eguae to Ehor and Ologbo Dukedoms — as a man of honour and dedication whose elevation is well deserved.
He noted that the conferment by the Oba of Benin is a recognition of Chief Iyase’s unwavering commitment to the preservation of Benin cultural heritage, his loyalty to the traditional institution, and his steadfast service to the APC and the people of Egor.
“This added feather to your cap is a testament to your consistent service, humility, and leadership both in politics and in the traditional space. It is also a reflection of your deep respect for our customs and your contribution to the unity and progress of our communities,” Eribo said.
The Council Chairman prayed for divine wisdom and grace upon Chief Iyase as he assumes his new role, urging him to continue being a shining example of loyalty and leadership in Okhoromi Community, Egor Local Government, and the Benin Kingdom at large.
He added that the Egor Council remains proud of the new Okaon’reguae and will continue to celebrate the achievements of sons and daughters of the area who bring honour to the local government and the ancient Benin Kingdom.
