Trump Backs Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Corruption Trial Following Critical Remarks about Israel Yesterday

Referring to the ongoing corruption prosecution against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “witch hunt,” US President Donald Trump is standing up for him, claiming that the US would save him.

According to Trump’s post on Truth Social, “The United States of America saved Israel, and now it will save Bibi Netanyahu.”

Trump’s recent statement contradicts his previous harsh statements towards Israel, when a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran is at stake.

Trump stated as he left Washington for the Netherlands on Tuesday, “Israel came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before as soon as we made the deal.” In a subsequent phone conversation with Netanyahu, he was “exceptionally firm and direct,” according to a White House official, and he later claimed that the truce was holding firm.

During his Wednesday speech, Trump commended Netanyahu referring to him as a “Great War Time Prime Minister”

Together, Bibi and I just endured HELL while battling Iran, Israel’s longstanding and formidable adversary. Bibi’s love for the amazing Holy Land could not have been greater, sharper, or more intense. There would have been confusion, damages, and disgrace for everyone else! Trump stated.

“I was shocked to learn that the State of Israel, which recently experienced one of its greatest moments in history and is firmly led by Bibi Netanyahu, is carrying on with its absurd Witch Hunt against their Great War Time Prime Minister!” he continued in the post.
