Edo State Governor Inspects Key Road Projects in Edo Central, Urges Quality Delivery

Irrua- Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has inspected four major road construction projects currently underway in the Edo Central Senatorial District as part of efforts to monitor infrastructure development across the state.

The projects visited by the governor include the Uromi–Agbor Road, Ukpenu Road, Ujoelen Road and Illeh Road, all considered critical routes for improving transportation and economic activities within the district.

Governor Okpebholo, who toured the project sites alongside government officials and contractors handling the construction works, assessed the progress made and urged the contractors to ensure strict adherence to quality standards.

He explained that the inspection formed part of the state government’s strategy to closely monitor ongoing infrastructure projects and ensure that they are executed according to specifications and completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening road infrastructure across Edo State to enhance connectivity among communities and support local economic growth.

Contractors handling the various projects briefed the governor on the level of work completed and assured him that the projects would be delivered as scheduled.

The road developments form part of the broader infrastructure expansion programme of the Edo State Government aimed at improving transportation networks and easing movement for residents across Edo Central and neighbouring areas.
