Edo State Governor Okpebholo Felicitates The Oba Ewuare II On Igue Festival

BENIN CITY- On behalf of Edo State Government, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, the Oba of Benin, and the entire Edo people on the occasion of the annual Igue festival.

In a Press Release signed by the Governor himself states. Traditionally, this is a period of thanksgiving to Almighty God for peace and development in Benin Kingdom.

Despite the numerous challenges, Benin Kingdom and indeed Edo State have made remarkable progress. We thank God and pray for the sustenance of the great blessings which the Royal Majesty has helped to strengthen.

As a Government we are ready to partner with His Royal Majesty for a better Edo State. The Benin heritage is a global phenomenon and a great asset to our beloved State.

We shall continue to design programmes and policies that will uphold the development of this heritage for the good of all.

As we celebrate this year’s Igue Festival, I pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity for all Edo people. May God Almighty continue to increase the wisdom and total blessings of our respected Oba of Benin.
