Edo State Governor Swears in New Appointees

Benin City, Edo State – In a bid to enhance the state’s governance structure, Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in three new appointees to key positions.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Government House in Benin City, marked an important step in the governor’s efforts to reposition the state for optimal performance.

The new appointees are Mr. Emmanuel Okoebor, who is now the Commissioner for Finance; Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu , who has become the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); and CP Friday Ibadin, who will serve as the Chairman of the Edo State Security Corps Governance.

During the ceremony, Governor Okpebholo congratulated the new appointees and urged them to leverage their wealth of experience in their respective roles.

He emphasized the importance of teamwork and dedication to the state’s development.The governor expressed his confidence in the ability of the new appointees to drive positive change and foster growth in their sectors.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Rt. Hon Dennis Idahosa, Secretary to the State Government Barr.

Musa Ikhilor, Chief of Staff to Governor Mallam Audu Gani, Head of Service Anthony Okungbowa, Esq., as well as top government officials, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders.

With these new appointments, Governor Okpebholo reaffirms his commitment to building a strong and effective team to advance the state’s development agenda.
