The Edo State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) proudly joins the global community in celebrating World Public Relations Day, observed annually on July 16.

This significant day is dedicated to recognizing the profound impact of public relations professionals who work diligently to foster trust, enhance reputations, and drive positive change across various industries and societies.

World Public Relations Day serves as a momentous occasion to honor the creativity, dedication, and strategic thinking of PR practitioners who operate behind the scenes to shape narratives, manage crises, and build bridges between organizations and their stakeholders. These professionals play a crucial role in maintaining a balanced dialogue between institutions and the public, contributing to the overall well-being of our communities.

Dr. James-Wisdom Abhulimen, Chairman of the Edo State NIPR Chapter, emphasized the importance of the day, “In an era where information travels at the speed of light, the role of public relations has never been more critical. NIPR in Nigeria is the heartbeat of institutions, ensuring that the message resonates, our reputation as a country remains strong, and our relationships with the outside world are nurtured and sustained.

“On this World Public Relations Day, the Edo State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations celebrates the achievements of PR professionals worldwide. Their tireless efforts have been instrumental in bridging gaps between government agencies and citizens, businesses and customers, launching successful campaigns, managing critical communications, and enhancing brand reputations.”

The Chairman invited partners, practitioners, and the general public to join the State Chapter in appreciating the invaluable contributions of PR professionals, nothing that “This day is an opportunity to celebrate their commitment to excellence and their vital role in fostering meaningful conversations that shape our world.”
