Hon. Dennis Idahosa to Lead APC In Edo Governorship Polls

The Candidate to represent All Progressive Congress in the Governorship election in the coming months have emerged. After series of power play and disruption of the process by hoodlums. Hon Dennis Idahosa clinched the ticket.

The member representing Ovia South federal Constituency , Hon. Dennis Idahosa polled 40,453 votes to emerge as flag bearer of APC in a highly contested primary election ahead of the Edo 2024 Governorship election.

Announcing the primary election results , the Chairman of the electoral Committee, Governor Hope Uzodinma said out of the 12 Aspirants who contested for the party ticket , Hon. Dennis Idahosa scored 40, 453 votes .while Gideon Ikhine had 700 votes.

“Hon. Dennis Idahosa having satisfied the electoral requirements is hereby declared as the elected Party Flagbeaer of All Progressive Congress” He said.

Responding, Hon. Dennis Idahosa noted that the upcoming election is between his party APC and the Labour Party.

He said 50% of Obedient movement are Youths and will vote him as Governor of Edo State.

Speaking further, he said, there is no PDP in Edo State and nothing to worry about as far as the Governorship election is concerned.

He however expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, Senator Adams Oshiomhole , NWC and all delegates who voted for him in the primary election.

The Aspirants had the following scores Prince Clem Agba 100 votes, Monday Okpebelo ,100 votes, Uzekari Anemero, 230 votes, Pastor Osaigie Ize-yamu, 2 votes, Engr. Gideon Ikhile, 700 votes, hon Afolabi, Lucky Immasuen 2 votes.
